Royal High Bath, GDST is a leading independent day and boarding school in the south west of England. Part of the Girls' Day School Trust family of schools, RHB provides outstanding, contemporary, education for girls aged 3-18. The blend of academic rigour and an innovative curriculum combined with a supportive pastoral system means that students realise new talents, fulfil their potential and go on to have bright futures. Our Steinway Music School and Art School highlight our commitment to our students' creativity.

Academic

Built on the firm foundation of over 150 years of educating young women, we are an innovative, high-achieving school that provides a wonderful environment for girls to excel. From the very start of Year 7, girls are given a thorough grounding in the core subjects. This education is further enriched by Languages, PE, Arts and the Humanities, all taught by specialist teachers with a passion for their subjects. At Sixth Form, we offer a choice of A level or IB with a wide range of subjects delivered by highly qualified and inspiring staff. The school's results are excellent, and consistently above the global average with students going on to study at prestigious universities in the UK and overseas, including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and UCL.

Community

The school is well-known for its friendliness and inclusivity. A school should be the heart of its community and we believe in organising initiatives that benefit our girls and their families as well as external charities and organisations.

Orientation

The school's expertise means the induction of students is quick and effective. A residential orientation experience helps students gain an understanding of the programme ahead and provides the space to plan their final years at school.

Boarding

With full and flexible boarding options, a diverse activities programme and excellent facilities, our girls can design their perfect home from home. Girls aged 11-16 board in School House, our stunning neo-Gothic main building while our Sixth Formers have their own dedicated house. House staff focus on creating a positive and secure atmosphere to ensure students quickly settle into a caring and supportive community. Each student is valued as an individual and their pastoral care and wellbeing are paramount.

Location

Situated in Bath, RHB has good transport links. Just 15 minutes from M4 motorway and with easy access to London, Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham. Mainline rail links to London Paddington. Airports in Bristol, Southampton, Heathrow and Gatwick are easy to access and a shuttle to west London for weekly boarders can be arranged as required.
