The British School Warsaw was established in 1992 by Iwona Thomas in partnership with Nord Anglia Education. It opened its doors with a total of 35 students wishing to follow an English curriculum. At present, we are proud to be educating over 1000 students from the international community in Warsaw.
At The British School Warsaw, your child will receive the very best of British academics, delivered by outstanding teachers in an international environment that promotes respect, discipline and hard work. Your child will leave our school with everything they need for success - whatever they choose to be or do in life. Your family will be part of a vibrant, international community that promotes well-being and social responsibility, whilst developing cultural awareness.
Our students learn using the the world's most respected curricula, enabling a life-long love of learning and academic results that opens pathways to the world's best universities.
For Primary students, we offer a perfect blend of English National Curriculum and International Primary Curriculum (IPC) which provides young, globally minded students with a skillset enabling them to smoothly transition to the next stages of international education through iGCSE and IBDP. For our Senior students, we offer the internationally-recognised and highly regarded IB Diploma Programme. The skills and attributes developed through this programme provide outstanding preparation for higher education giving our students the best opportunity to access the world's top universities.
We are unique in Warsaw in that we are part of a family of 81 schools with Nord Anglia Education (NAE) which allows us to leverage international collaborations. Our students have the opportunity to travel to our expedition based snow-sports centre in Switzerland; renovate schools in Tanzania; perform with over 500 talented musicians at the Juilliard School, New York; attend Space camp and STEAM festival at MIT University and take over UNICEF Headquarters in NY.
Our teacher standards are second to none, partly thanks to a global Education Team that drives success in academics, quality assurance, accreditation and safeguarding across our schools.
