Coming this summer: EU Business School’s International Summer School 2018

Posted on 27th Feb 2018 in University Study, Spain

(EU) is gearing up once again for its . This year, an exciting program of classes, company visits and cultural activities has been organized.

From July 1-21, students from all around the world will come to Barcelona for a taste of what it’s like to be part of the EU Barcelona family! The International Summer School 2018 will be an unforgettable adventure – a truly life-changing experience – for every student that takes part.

Here’s why…

They will sample a different kind of education

At EU Business School, students learn in many different ways. Traditional classroom theory is important, of course, but we offer so much more.

Active discussions and debates give students the chance to participate and contribute to the learning process. Each student brings their own knowledge and experience to the classroom, while learning from the perspectives of others. EU lecturers are entrepreneurs, consultants, business leaders and full-time academics, with the skills and expertise to connect with students from every walk of life.

Company visits give our students a behind-the-scenes insight into some of the region’s biggest organizations. Last year, students visited the head office of Bacardi, the famous rum-maker, Camp Nou, the home of legendary football club FC Barcelona, and experienced the inner-workings of a chocolate factory at the Simón Coll Experience.

They will get to explore Catalonia

During the , our students will be immersed in the local culture. Tapas tours are a delicious way to discover the culinary delights of Catalonia. Walking tours through the narrow medieval streets in Barcelona’s Gothic quarter give an insight into the hidden history of this endlessly fascinating city. And visits to nearby medieval city Girona, a filming location for Game of Thrones, and Sitges, a picturesque seaside town on the Mediterranean coast, give students the chance to discover the beauty and diversity of the region of Catalonia.

They will have fun in the sun

With long stretches of beaches and guaranteed sun, Barcelona is the place to be in the summer. Temperatures regularly hit 30°C, so cooling off in the Mediterranean Sea is essential! Sand artists, music, beach volleyball and dancing donut salesmen mean that, in Barcelona, a trip to the beach is always an entertaining experience!

They will make friends with people from all over the world

Our International Summer School students always say that the best part of the experience is making new friends. In 2017, we welcomed the brightest young business minds from every corner of every continent in the world! Students from countries as diverse as Angola, Belize, China and India learned all about new cultures and built friendships to last a lifetime.

Sharing the experience with people from so many different countries, all with their own story to tell, is what makes the so special.
